With more than 16,000 members, the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) is the catalyst for the energy industry. Since its inception in 1955, AAPL has not only evolved to meet the changing needs of landmen, but also led the profession in establishing ethical standards and supporting career advancement.
AAPL leadership wanted to renew its commitment to serving members — and to begin a new era focused on a promising future. The MasonBaronet team led stakeholders through our OnPurpose™ process to arrive at a new positioning strategy. The AAPL story begins and ends with a new tagline — Powering the Profession — supported by confident messaging and a visual identity that establishes AAPL as the industry authority.
From there, we created a new logo that represents AAPL’s diversity of people, resources, and services — and communicates a clear and positive sense of direction. We developed a robust website, iconography, brochures, tradeshow booth, advertising and more.
