MasonBaronet Adds Another ADDY Award to the Collection

(DALLAS) – The Dallas market’s best in advertising were honored Thursday, February 27 at The Bomb Factory at the 58th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Gala. The 2020 competition was a record-breaking year for AAF Dallas, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries and over 600 attendees. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the spirit of creative excellence in advertising, with proceeds from the gala going directly back into the development of the advertising industry through AAF’s education initiatives, public service, diversity and multiculturalism programming, and professional development. After much consideration, the winners were announced with MasonBaronet selected as an award recipient. MasonBaronet is proud to announce that it was honored to receive a Bronze ADDY Award for its work with Cry Havoc Theater Company.

MasonBaronet created a promotional communication piece for Cry Havoc Theater Company to help spread awareness of their production of “Crossing the Line,” as well as help to drive ticket sales for the show. The show focused on the border crisis and helped spark conversations from various perspectives. Cry Havoc Theater Company produces provocative theater with young people, and in doing so, challenges audience expectations of what theater can be. The company seeks to fill a gap in the theater community in Dallas to provide young actors with serious content to perform. At Cry Havoc Theater Company, they provide a platform for young people to contemplate difficult topics and then discuss them with the audience. Our team helped to carry their powerful messaging across a printed poster, which became a commemorative piece for people to buy at the show. The themes of nationalism and thought-provoking conversation were carried across the poster through the use of color and impactful imagery.

“We are thrilled to add this award to our collection,” says Art Director, Katie Daum. “It reaffirms our intention to do great, award-winning conceptual work for our clients and continue to meet their needs year after year.”
